When the Moon is Dark
You were born in the hunger season
Your charms are lost on those who survived
They shunned you, scorned you, so you grew
Thick coat of stone to ward off their chill
They can't see us together
Too narrow-minded and cold
Cause when the moon is dark it's time to run away
Social expectations weighing down on me
Cause if we stay here they will tear us apart
And soon enough my life will never be the same
They could not understand why I spent my days with you
Why marvel at life when you can twist its fate
As we grew their tolerance declined
Hide and seek with consequence if we lost
We have played this game before
Only now there is no return

If Only You Would Love Me
I have never been loved enough to be kept
Given away, a drifting leaf on the wind
Falling to the darkest depths
Woken and chased wherever I slept
Just trying to leave to find a new home
Running always invites a chase
Trapped me, broke me, leering faces through the bars
How long can I last with no room to roam
Your smile--was it friendly or cruel
I can't trust their double faces anymore
Won't listen to my constant rejection
What plans shall I now be the fool
If you fall, I'll catch
If you're hurt, I'll heal
Play your games When you're bored
You'll be safe with me
On a cold winter's night
I'll keep you warm and dry
If only you would love me
On the bank of a creek in the forest green
Morning sun is gilding trees the brightest sheen
Lone voyager with a moonstruck eye
Searching under logs for a place to hide
Here weary traveller, rest in the sun
Bask in his glow til the day is done
Greet the moon with fresh glowing eyes
Follow her light into starry skies
Praise the sun for his heat
Praise the trees for their shade
Praise the moon as she guides our hunt
Praise the stars in the sky
Watching over us all
Wilderness in peaceful harmony
Sundown shining under fallen tree
Time to awake and chase the crescent moon's lead
Final rays through a tree's interstice
Resume your journey to parad
Harvest moonlight plays across your pretty face
I'm hypnotized by the depth in your eyes
Betrays so much more than your gentle embrace
I'm drowning before I even realize
Our love is like a thunderstorm
Lightning scorches me as we meet
The heat of the moment lends a sudden clarity
The feel of soft fur against my cheek!?
Pulled from the fire, dunked in ice water
Claws tear my burning skin away
Fangs crush my throat, I'm gasping for air
The fear has driven me insane
But the pain is only in my mind
Where all men go when their life is a mess
Noisy company is a welcome relief
Conversation solves confusion, if I could only speak
But these troubl
Glowing flames a pulsing wound
Against the dark coolness of the woods
How could I ever have been one of them
Those weak and ignorant fools
Proud, and free from any rule
Only answering the full moon
When she asks me to help make the world anew
How could I refuse
Soft flesh! SINKING!
Fresh blood! POISON!
Healing their deficiency! DEEPER!
Don't you want to be cured? FEAR!
Aren't you gonna give up? WEAKER!
Where have I seen this before? REVERSED!
Who am I? THE PAIN WILL END!
How could I be so bloodthirsty
What lesson am I out here to teach
If this is the way the world should be
Then why can't I remember me
Glowing flames are cleansing this st
