Chase and Kill

The forest sifting moonlight through trees
They cut through the night like a knife
Running as one, they are alive
Hot on the scent of their prey

Hunger's what drives them
Life only comes from death
Bloodthirsty yes, but that is the way
Nature is, and always will be

Run for your life, we're on the hunt tonight
Your scent will lead us to our meal
Run, don't look back, we hunt as a pack
Surrounding you with death on every side

The moon is dripping blood upon the ground

Leaping from cover, gray hair escapes our grasp
Too far behind, lost the safety of the pack
Fleeing from truth, but truth is rising bright
Whites of the eyes, shining with a last gleam of life

They say we're ruthless and kill the innocent
We say they're presumptuous and kill because they can
They should look at the facts and ask themselves this
Who now has brought this death to the world
